VIOFO RNE800 — True 4K HDR Rear Camera for A229 Ultra

The RNE800 is VIOFO's dedicated 4K rear camera module for the A229 Ultra series. Built around the same Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 sensor used in the A229 Ultra front camera — a large 1/1.8-inch, 8-megapixel chip — the RNE800 delivers true 4K (3840×2160) HDR recording from the rear window. Whether you need a replacement rear camera or want to upgrade your A229 Ultra 1CH to a full dual 4K system, the RNE800 provides flagship-grade rear coverage with no compromises.

Same Flagship Sensor as the Front Camera

The RNE800 uses the identical Sony STARVIS 2 IMX678 found in the A229 Ultra front unit. This means the rear channel captures the same resolution, dynamic range, and low-light performance as the front — license plates, road signs, and vehicle details behind you are recorded in full 4K clarity. HDR ensures balanced exposure through headlight glare, tunnel transitions, and mixed lighting. A 6-meter cable and adhesive sticker are included for standard sedan and SUV installation.

Easy Installation and Compatibility

The RNE800 connects directly to the A229 Ultra front unit with the included 6M cable — route it along the headliner to the rear window. The front unit detects the rear camera automatically. Important: the RNE800 is ONLY compatible with the A229 Ultra front unit. It is not compatible with the A229 Pro or A229 Plus.
